Weber-Weaver Farm + Stone House Visioning
Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Weber-Weaver Farm is a 70-acre farm that is recognized by the National Register of Historic Places for a special distinction: the land has sustained a single family for generations as a working farm and residence since their emigration from Germany to Lancaster in the early 1700s.
An ongoing visioning effort with Runcible Studios of Cambridge, MA is establishing principles for long-term stewardship by current and future generations of the Weaver family. The vision honors the land’s complex history of settlement, protects its ecological, agricultural, and cultural assets, and addresses the immediate need for a domestic landscape associated with the Stone House, a circa-1720 home currently under renovation.
